WHO ARE WE?

Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays of Kansas City (PFLAG-KC) is a group of parents, siblings, friends, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered (LGBT) people who:

Provide a support system for the families and friends of LGBT people to enable them to understand, accept and support their children with love and pride;

Provide education for individuals and the community at large on the nature of homosexuality; and

Support the full human and civil rights of LGBT people.

MEETING INFORMATION

PFLAG-KC general meetings are held on the second Sunday of each month at 3:00 pm at The Village Presbyterian Church, 6641 Mission Road, Room 307, Prairie Village, KS. (The meeting room is wheelchair accessible.)

PFLAG-KC board meetings are held at 1:30 pm before the general meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend and add their ideas.

September
Sep. 4-5	The Show-Me State Rodeo at Lone Wolf Ranch Arena.
Sep. 6	Straight Spouse Support Group Meets the 1st Monday of every month at Village Church. Contact Kay at 816-289-9926 for more information.
Sep. 12	1:30 pm PFLAG board meeting. 3:00 pm PFLAG general meeting. The September general meeting will be presented by the Straight Spouse Network. SSN provides personal, confidential support and information to heterosexual spouses/partners, current or former, of gay, lesbian, bisexual or trangender mates and mixed-orientation couples for constructively resolving coming-out problems.
October
Oct. 4	Straight Spouse Support Group Meets the 1st Monday of every month at Village Church. Contact Kay at 816-289-9926 for more information.
Oct. 10	1:30 pm PFLAG board meeting. 3:00 pm PFLAG general meeting. The program at October's general meeting will be men's and women's support groups for married or formerly married people who come out.
November
Nov. 1	Straight Spouse Support Group Meets the 1st Monday of every month at Village Church. Contact Kay at 816-289-9926 for more information.
Nov. 14	1:30 pm PFLAG board meeting. 3:00 pm PFLAG general meeting. November's general meeting will feature a Kansas organization for trans people.
December
Dec. 6	Straight Spouse Support Group Meets the 1st Monday of every month at Village Church. Contact Kay at 816-289-9926 for more information.
Dec. 12	1:30 pm PFLAG board meeting. 3:00 pm PFLAG general meeting. The general meeting will be our annual holiday potluck.
