PFLAG supports federal, state and local laws to protect lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) persons from hate crimes consistent with those for other protected groups. Such laws should emphasize community education, prevention and assistance for law enforcement to help prevent, address and report hate crimes in the future.
