Planned Parenthood has been a long-time supporter of the LGBT community, offering affordable, inclusive, and LGBT-affirming health services of many kinds. In fact, long before our movement became focused on educating health providers to be welcoming and inclusive, Planned Parenthood was already there for us.
There are new efforts to defund Planned Parenthood in the U.S. Senate. A bill to defund Planned Parenthood has been fast-tracked, which would cut federal funding for Planned Parenthood and impact several statewide offices. The vote will likely take place before the legislature adjourns for their August recess.
We encourage you to support our allies at Planned Parenthood today, including by calling your senator to let them know that you support Planned Parenthood and the reproductive health and family planning services that they provide to all.
